Wiring 3rd brake light and dome light canopy
Hi guys,
Just bought a new canopy for my 2004 f350, and was wondering how difficult it is to wire the brake lights and dome light? It looks like there are two wires at the rear of the canopy on the drivers side, Im hoping there is a extra brake light wire (and an accessory) in the turn signal or the wiring harness for the trailer. I would have had the dealer I bought it from install it, but when he started talking about snipping this and that I figured it was time to ask somebody who knew what they were talking about! Thanks for any tips...

I believe there is a stub wire for the cap brake light wrapped into the truck wiring harness located on the drivers side at the rear of the truck frame rail. Generally in the area of where the wires exit to the left tail light out of the harness. Use a test light to verify the wire, although I believe there is only one. The dome light may require you to run a wire from a power source.
