How to Measure Shocks?
I want to order some shocks and when ordering on 4wheelparts.com i saw a guy comment that they barely fitted with one add-a-leaf. so to measure before ordering! but now its feb. and like 25 degrees out side. i dont want to pay my budy to use the shop just to have em disconnect and measure it!
So any ideas? order em and if no workie return em??
thanks for the Idea's guys

If your truck is at stock height you shouldn't have any trouble ordering by year/make/model etc..
If your lifted, aftermarket shocks usually have a small window they will fit in for a given lift range. I haven't seen shocks ordered by specific lengths or measurement, for example, they may list for 2-3" of lift, so you can assume they are at least a couple inches over stock. If it is lifted, knowing the lift height is needed. You could try comparing to a stock truck if you are infact lifted.
