Opinions Please, I think I'm getting a good deal?
I'm looking at a 2000 f-250, PSD, ext cab, 6-3/4 bed, 4x4. It was a fleet vehicle own by some guy around chicago. 234K on the odo. Runs great, Shifts fine, no slip, Ebony over grey paint.
Had a few dings walking around it, but still looks sharp to me.
Ball joints done, greasables in, Good brakes, (do these have hydroboost from the factory?, This one has it installed) No leaks, no rattles, drives straight, No rust on any body panels. I had them lift it up so I could inspect everything underneath.
The dealer is wanting 8K for it. Kbb books it for 12.5K.
Good enough to not walk away, or forget it, and move on?

GOOD DEAL?
[FONT=Georgia][SIZE=4]Take it for a ride. In 4th and/or 5th, at around 2k on the tach in those gears, stay a little heavy on the throttle and listen to the injectors. As it accelerates, it will either be a clean sound or raspy. If its a little raspy, you can use it to get the price down a little and just add some "sea foam" injector cleaner. If it is really raspy under load in this range, leave it. Injectors are expensive to have put in. Also if the dealership has a lift, ask them to put the truck up on there and engage 4wd just to make sure it works. Just because you hear something engage, doesn't mean it works.
