Water Pumps?

I am getting ready for a coolant flush for our Florida Winter . And I thought while I was at it to go ahead and replace the thermostat and water pump. So my question is there any brand of water pump that is better than another? Should I pay the Ford squealer, get an after market pump, or just go to napa for the bare bones? Thoughts??

My airtex pump is approaching 100,000 miles, I'd buy another if I needed to.

Go with OEM, but don't buy it at the dealer. Riffraff has a good price on them.

Riffraff Diesel: OEM Powerstroke Water Pump=

I got forced into an Advanced Auto lifetime warranty replacement because my truck blew out the main seal behind the fan clutch late one day when I was nearly 2 hours from home, and I did not have the luxury of time to order anything from anyone... ended up having to do the entire water pump replacement in their parking lot in front of their front door. They were nice enough to provide lots of loaner tools. I would have rather ordered from Clay, but just didn't have the option.

I agree. I got my OEM replacement pump from Clay for almost 1/2 the price of a new one. My OEM lasted 200K so I figured it wasn't worth trying to find an aftermarket one. I may be wrong, but I thought that Airtex made the OEM one anyway.

I just bought the both outer tie rod ends from AutoZone because of the lifetime warranty. While under the truck last night I pulled the inner drivers and took it back, where I forgot I had replaced it 4 years ago. Brand new one out the door with a thanks as well. The reason I went to AutoZone, was if I break down, I can be up and running again quickly with the ugly stuff. Sure, I may have to replace the part once more often than if I get Clays stuff, but I can't be down even for a few days. Clay, your definitely getting all the other orders coming soon... !!
