Mileage is down 1.5 to 2.0 MPG since spring install. Normally got 15.5 to 16.0 MPG around town and 20.0 MPG on the road. Now I get 13.5 to 14.0 MPG and have not made a road trip yet. Anyone else install the GDS spring and have the same issue?

I just did mine 2 days ago, My mileage has not changed either way according to lieometer.

 

How did you go about doing this?

Did you make sure every thing was clean?

Replace filters??

 

I removed the fuel supply line and the 4 screws and then pulled the cap off very carefully. I removed the old spring, careful not to loose the brass fitting the spring fits into, inserted the GDS spring and put the cap back on. No leaks.

Everything was clean. I'm **** about cleanliness.

Have about 11,000 miles on current filters so that may be the next thing.
