Actually I just finally saw the low vacuum sensor where I was not expecting it to be.
The wire connector is what made me recognize it.
Then I saw the thicker front plate, and noticed no hose out of the back.
Quick visual 3D calculation said if the hose in question was routed below the other vacuum line, It will reach the nipple on the low vacuum sensor.
Heat and oil along with the tight radius may be why the hose slipped off the nipple to start with.
21" monitor helps as well, no microscope needed.
I'm going to take a look at it tomorrow. But I did notice something. That nipple is broke off in the hose. Ill be back with what i find.

If the nipple is in the hose you will need to replace that low vacuum switch, snuff can looking thingy. I would suggest mounting it someplace else when you replace it so that it's not so close to the steering arm. Mine is on the drivers fender down below the battery, can send you a pic of mine if you want.
I had to go out to the truck anyhow so I went ahead and snapped a picture for you. Mounted to drivers side fender right below the battery box.
Yep thats were it goes. ( Nice one Dave! ) But it is broke off. This a dealer part?
Also It is mounted about 6 inches from the steering. There is no way that it was touching. That ring where it was clean is a fluke. I guess I should do some cleaning also. Whew thanks for all the help guys!!!
Called the dealer, its called a low vacuum warning switch Assembly. $82.53. Im going to check the salvage yards!
Since you are doingwithout it anyway, Why don't you try to JB Weld it back together? Take a small piece of tubing - Pssibly out of a ball point pen and do what you have to to get it to work. I mean it's not going to hurt anything if it doesn't work and you might save yourself a trip to the junkyard.
