Just bought a 94 F150, 5.0 auto, 4WD, short box, regular cab. When I brake the truck bounces. At first I thought it was warped rotors on the front. But strangely enough, when I put the truck in Neutral before I hit the brakes, the bounce is almost not noticeable. Is it possible the U joints would cause this? Or maybe the tranny? The truck rides nice other than hitting the brakes. Thanks for any guidance...
this is a total shot in the dark but maybe the rear rotors are warped? the shaking may be less noticable in nuetral because the shake isnt going thru the drive shaft and directly to where you can feel it. just throwin some ideas out there.
Yeah my truck was the same way, I havent changed the rotors yet but after more than 2 months of driving it how it is, they evened out. Im definately doing a brake job this summer.
