No strat after cluster install

I pulled my instrument cluster to install some fancy new white face gauges. When cluster was re-installed the truck will only turn over, but not start. NEED HELP. It is my daily driver.

Do you have duel tanks ? If you do the tank selector switch must be plugged in or it will not start.

make sure you didn't bump the connecter for the Ign switch off/loose when you dropped the column

I had the same problem I changed out for a tach and would not start put the old one back in and still would not start. took to ford and had a blowen fuse under the hood for the fuel relay, come to find out the cluster was the wrong year and would blow the fuse every time till the old cluster was reinstalled. runs great now.

Your 2005 truck may do that but out era trucks could not do that.

Even with one tank you still have a plug in jumper on the back of the dash where the selector switch would be and if that is not plugged in the pumps will not work.

What year is your truck? I looked at your profile but nothing there. I was wondering if you have a 92-96 where you found white guages?

I got the gauges from ebay. Real nice setup. Put 96 F150 in the search and it should give you all you need. Supplier is in California I believe. I'll post a pick once I get everything back together. Be careful with installation though. I had to pull the needles so I am prepping myself for other tweaks once I get past the fuel issue. Will be checking the plug idea tomorrow. I have a feeling that the plug has been the issue all along.

Okay... Thanks to everyone that gave me input. The issue was the plug. Feeling a little dumb right now, but you live and learn. Thanks a ton.

ha! i did the same thing on my truck when i did the cluster swap, and to top it off i had replaced my fuel pump a week earlier. needless to say i was freaking out, until i saw the plug undone. like you said, live and learn.

UPDATE it was not the new cluster in my truck, after some more work was done on my truck the hood was closed and the truck stop running it would blow the fuse under the hood. come to find out after ten hours of labor it was the wire from the fuse box under the hood to the fuel safty switch under the dash was bad. Installed a new wire now it works great with the new tach cluster.
