What is your problem? There must be 30 different problems above your post. You can start a new thread if you like. Or just describe what it's doing, and if you just bought this truck or you had it awhile.

E-350 Super Duty Van no tail lights or plate light
Hi there. I have read through the posts on this thread, and found a couple similar issues as me. My tail lights and plate light (in the rear passenger side door), intermittently come on but go out. Brake lights, turn signals, hazards, front parking lights and headlights all work. Just the rear parking lights are out (most of the time). We have had a ton of snow here, and I removed a lot of build up from under the frame area. Looks like the wiring for rear lights is in a bundle that travels across the roof of van, then drops down to lights in the rear corners. Any help would be appreciated!

The taillight circuit is a separate circuit from the headlights. Even though it comes out of the same switch, it has it's own part of the switch and it's own fuse not related to the headlights. This circuit is common to all the marker lights all over the vehicle, so if the front markers work, then you know the problem is on the rear wiring and not the fuse or the headlight switch and it's wiring.

Dave F, I have a problem: On my 1993 F350 turbo diesel, I have no instrument panel lights. Headlight switch has been touchy for the past two months, I have to pull it out and wiggle it a little, then all lights (headlights, taillights, parking lights, etc) work fine and no fuses blow, but still no instrument cluster lights. I have power at the instrument panel fuse with the lights on, no power with it off. This is normal from what I read in other posts here. What are your thoughts? Headlight switch or plug on the back of the instrument panel? Thanks in advance for your help! Your replies to other posts showed me what to check before I came here to ask!

Sorry! It's a 2008 E-350 Super Duty Diesel Van. One of my worries, is that it may be underneath, where the tow package connector is on the frame, just behind drivers side tire on frame rail. It ends in a flat 4 wire connector, which I thought was the trouble first. After moving wires around were I could see connections, it made NO difference. Just thought it might be a common enough problem where someone would say "YES! It's ----*". But, if I have to go digging, then so be it. I will buy the test light and start in the roof wire bundle? Or underneath?

If the above is verified, then you have a very uncommon problem. There is a blue/red wire that leaves the fuse box from this fuse, and then runs all over the dash feeding all the lighting in the dash area and the cluster. You will just have to hunt around to find the break in the wire.

I had a similar problem, when I turned the lights off the running lights came on, lights on the running lights went off. I gave up on fixing it myself and went to an automotive electric shop. On a 1989 F350, diesel powered, there is a relay for the tail lights under the hood. This was replaced and all problems went away. My research on this indicated Ford does not specify exactly where this is located on the different models, so you would have to know what you are looking for.

If the fuse is good, do the park lights blink when you hit the remote key fob? If they do, I would suspect the headlight switch.
