I would not think so. I know it uses a lot of fuses, but plug the dimmer module back in and see if the fuse blows again.

A wire has finally burnt in two somewhere, so you will have to get a testlight and start tearing things apart to find it. Here's a link to a diagram

Tail, parking, dash lights not working
I have to pull the lights **** out and then push it in a little to get the parking lights to come out with the headlights, after about 5 second the parking lights start flashing. All the fuses under the hood are good but fuse number 4 in the fuse box under the dash (warning buzzer, exterior lamps, instrument illumination) keeps blowing ?? Can you guys help

When you pull the switch out halfway, you are crossing up the contacts inside the switch, making the headlight circuit power the marker light circuit. The headlight circuit has a circuit breaker, so when you put the marker light circuit that has a short onto the headlight circuit, the circuit breaker starts cutting the circuit on and off to protect it.
Of course fuse 4 is supposed to power this circuit, and it's protecting it because it's blown.
This circuit 4 feeds the brown wire, which runs front to back, powering all the marker lights. It's difficult to troubleshoot this circuit the problem could be anywhere. But your best bet is to think about your truck and make likely guesses to where the problem may be. Here are some good places to guess;
1. Anywhere some work has been done recently.
2. Anywhere something has been added, like running boards with lights in them, etc.
3. A common place to have problems is at the rear bumper where trailer wiring is added.

Just a kudos to Franklin2
I was doing a few searches looking for information on a 4 pin round connector under the dash of my '96 E-150. Heavy gauge wire, probably power seats plug or modified vehicle power.
...and I stumble upon this thread.
Franklin you are one knowledge bearing man. And patient? God you are patient...
You've been hammering out solutions piled on for over 7 YEARS through this pipe.
I read the whole darned thing.
Well done Sir! I have no question, no 'help me' sorrow. Just wanted to applaud a fellow fix it guy that goes above and beyond for free.
Karma can be a lovely woman too... May she smile upon you!
