5.0 to 5.8 swap

i have recently acquired a 351 windsor fuel injected from a friend of mine. The truck i have has a 302 in it that is probably on its last leg. I know the swap can be made rather easy but the one question I have is this. I know the firing orders are different between the two engines and thats not a problem with the distributor, but the fuel injectors are told by the computer when to fire, and the firing order in my 302 computer will not fire the injectors correctly. Should i swap computers, or rewire the fuel injectors (i.e. swap the number 3 and number 5 injectors and swap the number 4 and number 7 injectors)? Does this make sense. The problem I dont want to sart is if I change the computer in the truck, hom much other stuff am i going to have to change?

Most likely the fuel injection in your truck is by bank four cylinders at a time.

You probably don't need to worry.

What year is your F150? '88 - '94? no concerns.

'95, '95 maybe.

You'll have to use the 5.8 intake. It's better anyways. You truck is not sequential EFI so like Lance said, you'll be ok without rewiring the fuel injectors.

Steve is right. You cannot use the 5.0 intake. The heads on the 5.8 are further apart.
