ohh ok well 4.5 isnt bad then, and glad to hear good things about BDS... BDS and fabtech both look like they have pretty good kits, how much was did you pay for your BDS kit?

The Kit was $2500 with the skid plate and steering stabilizer & the 5 shocks needed as well. The biggest issue i had was the aftermarket wheels i was using from a 1997 F-150 didnt work well with the new knuckles. So i picked up a set of Pro Comp Rims & Tires, I am very happy with them, and the tires rub a little on the plastic valence in the front so I trimmed it. I did have dealings with their tech support on issues with my parking brake cables, and their tech support guys were great, turned out i needed to adjust the mounting of the brake cables & I still have a working parking brake, better than all my friends lifted trucks. LOL

Thats what i said after they came back to me with such a good price for everything, and the lifetime warranty was a big selling point too for me, cuz i dont plan on giving up the truck for many more years. When I did the lift, I went all the way and ordered new front hubs and hub dust seals cuz of the age and milage on my truck, saved me the headaches later.

Yea it sucks, I hate doing things twice but it happens. Another thing I got info about was a kit that BDS offers to replace the autolocking hubs that go bad. It makes them manual locking that u can activate by a cable in the cab, the dealer quoted me in the neighbor hood of 200 for that, im just waiting to see when my front lockers go bad.

thats actually a really good idea, not a bad price at all either, i might have to look into that, ive always liked manual locking hubs better anyways

I know this is an old post but heres some info for those that stumble on it...
I have a 2000 F150 7700 (same as the older F250 LD) seven lugger I run Yokohama 40x13.5-17 on it. To make this work I first installed RCD 5.5" susp lift then a 3" Suspention Tech Body lift. The Tires fit and as long as there was no twisting caused by inclines or lumps in the road Yes they did fit; sort of!? I then cut out the wheel wells and added Bushwacker Cut out Flairs.. solved the proble of rubbing. To get suspention articulation I had to add 6" blocks to the rear and leveling keys to the front... so to get 40s under the 97-04 i had to add 11inches of lift!! hope this helps
