Another radiator support needed 66 F100 2WD FE-352

I see thread from a while ago. I have the same issue for my 66 F100 Resto project. The bottom 2 inches of the Radiator Support is just eaten up. Odd as the rest of the frame and body is completely clean. Weird that the rest of the series of F-xxx seem to have replacement units in the market.

So, source for a removed unit that is in good condition?? Or, is it a good plan to buy one from the 4WD units of 66 and cut that bottom off, weld it to the top part and go?? Thanks.

Or, just swap your inner fender apron brackets over to the new unit and maybe modify how the radiator mounts and call it good.

Last I looked I thought you could get both the 65 and 66 2wd versions as people would convert the 66 to a 65. After a closer inspection, you can only get the '65 version after looking on Macs, and LMC. DC or BOTP does not carry any.

Thanks Cory. I too have looked everywhere. So, if I have it right, I could buy the 4WD version, which is still available, drill/weld the fender skirt attach brackets and do something about the radiator mounting and it should work in the 66. Hope that is correct. Guessing to go that way. Is it that the radiator opening is larger/smaller or just the attach points/holes?

SAT:
I know people used to convert the 66 2wd piece for use on a 65 2wd back when you could only get the 66 version. Now you can only get the 65 version. Funny stuff.

Pretty decent writeup on it, and I imagine one could use it to convert the 65 to a 66.

Ive bought stuff from both Macs and LMC. Never had any problems with either. Im not sure if NumberDummy or anyone else knows of any other places you could get one.

AFAIK: Only C6TZ-16138-C radiator support has been reproduced, someone posted the info from LMC's parts catalog several years ago.

Edit: See posts 1 & 5, Ford truck parts applications are 1965 F100/250 2WD & 1966 F100 4WD
