New 4160 - no float adjustment...
So I recently replaced the 4180 with a 4160 and removed all the emissions crap. Due to lack of time, I paid the mechanic to do this, and she ran OK. Anyways, I tweaked her this weekend because it felt to me like the kickdown linkage was 'kicking in' too soon - and it was, had about 1/2" adjustment to make WOT.
She ran better now, but I still have a small stumble around corners every now and again. I went to adjust the float and found that there is no adjustment available.
What can I do?
Also, I think my fuel pump might be getting a bit lazy. Could this stumbling problem be associated with that and not necessarily the float level? The symptoms I have are 1) cold start it will stall about 4 times before fast idle engages and thats with only 2 pumps of the pedal - I know the accel pump is working fine... and 2) stumble/ hesitation around corners.
