Amazing. About a year ago I had my truck on the scale and it weighed in a 7750lbs with me and 1 1/2 tanks of fuel. Now granted Im lifted, 4x4, x-cab, have a tool box in the bed, a 3/8" turnover gooseneck, and modified bumpers, but I wouldnt have thought that I was gonna weigh in more than you guys let alone that much. Im guess some of these scales have to have been off. Also that was the second time Ive had an OBS PSD xcab put on a scale in that area and that one weighed in around 7250 too. And for what its worth I only weigh 175.
Thats were these 2 were scaled was before and after unloading mass volumes of used steel at the recycling yard. We scaled my dads 99 F250SD Xcab 7.3 to check for safety stuff since we put a big slide in camper on it, and pulls his boat with it too. His weighed in at 8000 right on the button with full fuel and nothing in it, including us. That a was at a state certified scale.
I was surprised that mine was that light too. I always thought it would tip the scales at 7,000 lbs +.
I have the aluminum wheels, and both tanks were almost empty. I also had everything cleaned out of the truck. It was just the truck with zero add-on's in the truck.
I also have aluminum wheels. I may have done it with full tanks.
Plus I probably do carry more stuff. I have a tow strap and a chain, a small tool box and dually chains behind the back seat.
