Whoever wrecked it was probably a retard who thought his new Raptor could go 60 mph on an icy/snowy road. I don't really know what happened, but it's a damn waist of such a nice truck!!
there has been 3 or 4 wrecked raptors on copart sence then, one in arkansas with body damage all around with 14k miles went for over $25k... CRAZY!!! the parts alone to fix it would be around $8k
Is a shame to see such a cool truck go down like that...But I guess it was inevitable. A truck designed for High Speed off road jumps, was only a matter of time before this happened to one of them.
its at ft.worth tx copart auto auction, the auction goes off tomorrow and its up to $11,500 at this time. and the snow on the tailgate is from being hauled backwards on a car carrier after it was smashed.
And therein lies the reason for the crash. I'm not from Oklahoma, and where I'm from we got snow guaranteed once a season, and it was usually a doozie. I know how to drive in the stuff, even if it's a two wheel drive repo tow truck. People out here in OK, TX, and states that usually don't get alot of snow are idiots already, and give them a fast truck and bad weather and they think they're the best driver in the world. That wreck shows that regardless of the weather at the time of the crash, they were going too fast for conditions.
When I got my first 4X4, my Grandfather told me " Four wheel drive is great, but remember it will put you twice as far in the woods as a 2X2 will do " And, it appears. he was right!
one of the tricks to ice is don't touch the brakes! drive it to the ditch and hope for the best when heading towards the ditch. sometimes crap just happens no matter what you do on ice.
