Can anyone help me or know where I can locate the tailgate trim piece for my 89 f150. Its brushed aluminum with red stripe going across it. Here is a pic of what im looking for. Thanks for the help!

 

Spring Carlisle is coming up.......Have you had a local junkyard go on the computer and do a search?

 

I have been to several junkyards around town but tailgate trims are usually missing..after-all they are aluminum$$. Carlisle is always a good time and is pretty much just up the road from me so will have to check it out. Thanks

 

Most GOOD junkyards have a network that they can contact most all the junkyards in the area,,,,and beyond ....

I have gotten a few replacement tailgates like that when I had my 85. I went to mason dixon auto recyclers, and toms junkyard. Toms is near my house in dundalk and mason dixon is just over the PA line on route 1.

 

I hate to say this but I got a few in my yard like that-they ain't perfect of course
some have the red strip some have the black strip?

In 1992, Ford replaced E7TZ99425A34A with F2TZ99425A34A...the finish panel used 1992/96 which is not quite the same.

This tailgate finish panel is still available from Ford, but y'all prolly won't like the price:
