Orange County Fairgrounds On The Auction Block

Daily Pilot - Serving Newport Beach & Costa Mesa, California

I sure hope the County of Orange/City of Costa Mesa bid is a winner. I'd hate to see the property turned into something else.

Wow, first I had heard of this. If the county/city don't win the bid, they can just make it impossible for a developer to do anything, and eventually take it anyway. If that's what they want. They might prefer to see it developed for the tax base.

Where have you been? This topic has been under discussion for over a year.

CA is broke, selling off the fairgrounds is Ahnold's idea of making a few bucks.

Looks like Cross Roads of the West's Orange County Gun Show is gonna have to look for a new venue.

$380,000 per acre sounds like a heck of a deal...for the buyer. That $57 mill isn't going to do much as far as the state's budget deficit is concerned.

Somebody's gonna make a ton of money - far more than the State did on the sale.

Class may be timeless, but this thing doesn't resemble any 1930's/40's Ford truck.

Who came up with the idea of using...what appears to be...1959/60 Studebaker Lark taillamps?
