New Intake?????

Well i went out and got a 9 inch open K&N air filter and took the air box out. I also got a 3 inch black pvc pipe and cut it to fit. It looks good but i am doing anything wrong by not plugging in the sensor on the bottom of the air box? Should i make a hole in thePVC pipe and connect the little sensor? Please help i am new to the diesel scene.

You can just hang that right over the brake master cylinder or tuck it out of the way. If your on top of your maintance, you don't have to worry about that anymore.
