Nick 99 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Can someone post up a diagram of the fuel heater relay circuit?

That way if and when the heater fails, it would only blow the fuse that powers the heater and nothing else.
Comments?
Well since you asked, my comment is that it is an unnecessary hassle just to keep a worthless gadget on your truck. See Chris' earlier comments about where the fuel is most likely to gel.

Sheldon,
As you can tell by my fellow FTE friends, we like a challenge! Beside if the mod could be done easily, then we not get the code when we simply disconnect the heater.

Thank you

This forum is fantastic, thank all of you for your knowledge and sharing your experience. My 30 amp fuse on my 99 f350 power stroke kept blowing. Fuel bowl heater element was the cause. Thanks again.

Welcome to FTE!

Did you replace the heater or remove the harness? Fuel bowl heater is really not needed in a warm climate like ex-Charger land. Condolences on losing the team to LA, btw. As a Raider fan I'm staring that in the face when they sail off to Lost Wages.

An alternative is to leave all intact but pull the connection inside the bowl and kink the wire so it stays away from the terminal. That way the heater can be reconnected if needed, and the "water in fuel" light still works.
