power window problems

I seem to be having some trouble with my power windows and wipers in which are keeping me from getting my truck tagged it's a 1992 2wd xlt . Anyway the windows worked when I got the truck a few weeks ago.although they were slugish' aslso the passangers window would only work from the drivers side. now i have nothing I changed the swithches on the drivers side and got the same results.( Before and after switch change) When I press the switch I hear a click and the voltometer drops. could anyone tell me where to start testing. I really need this thing tagged. As far as the wipers go they work but hang up and cut off like there is a short somewhere. I can get them moving again by messing with the switch thanks in adfvance for any info.

Check the wiring where it goes from door to body on the drivers side (USA)... Inside the rubber sleeve there is sometimes a wire broken........for windows.

Check the wiper motor for a good ground. Also check the Wiper control module for connection problems unhook then re hook..... Disconnect battery negatives first.

Other than that the Multi function switch on the steering column could be worn out and causing wiper problems.

Email me if you need more ..........
