Ok has anyone tested all those wires on the california set up? As long as the relay gets live juice from the bats, has a path to the glow plugs, gets the ground signal from the cpu, and ... someone help me here (power from key on? ) It should work. You could even do the manual button if you want.
Our 2000 Excursion has this GPCM on it and it came from Maine. Car fax confirms it was there since it left the plant. It cold starts way better than my F350 with the GPR109. I'll be probin wires to find if this is an available avenue when ours goes out. I plan to probe it while it's still working so I have a better idea of what is what. If someone else has done this, please post that info to save me the work.

Denny, as I understand it the GPCM is a complicated electrical mess full of a lot of 0's and 1's that takes a simple voltage signal and does all sorts of weird ^%$& with it to fire up the plugs and kick on the SES light if everything isn't 100%. I'm sure with enough perseverance (and whiskey) you could sort it out but (correct me if I'm wrong here boys) to date nobody on the forum has been successful in doing so.
