I always see alot of fx4 around where i live, and see that they have all the square fog lights, i think that's how you know it a 04 -05 but was wandering if there was much change from the 04 to the 05

 

They're just about identical. Ford used the 2005 model year to expand the lineup with more combinations of different packages (I believe the KR was offered in 2005 and not 2004).

from 2004-2005 the differences between the models is basically only 2 things.


2004 got 17" rims
2005 got 18" rims with 20" optional

2004 only had the yellow paint color available.
2005 had a little bit more paint variety

 

my 2004 fx4 has the 18 inch wheels

 

when is the build date?

officially the 17" rims are for 2004 only...but I've come across several people like yourself with 18" rims.


Ford isn't very consistent with stuff like that. My old 2006 FX4 had the FX4 Luxury package...even though it wasn't officially released until 2007.

 

my 04 fx4 as seen in my gallery was red like OP with 18" rims. dang i miss that truck! hmmm

 

My '06 has 20" wheels...and a flux capacitor.

 

did it come with a bunch of *******s waving AK-47's?

i looked at my truck and it said 06/04 on it so im guessing they did it early to, i also got the reverse sensors, mid console shift, rear elec sliding window, acourse the 18 inch and also the heated mirrors with the turn signal on it, it seems like the original owner wanted all the options on it
