This particular thread is the one I started for this years show.

I PMed a mod to sticky this one and lock the other one so we can keep all our Ducks in a row in this thread.

When the thought first crossed my mind about getting our ducks in a row, I didn't think anything of it...then after I typed it, I was like, haha!! How fitting.

I plan on being there this year. Would like to make the Supernationals as well, but I don't think I can do both. If I've got to make one, it will be the Run!

I know everybody talked about cruising the Dragon's Tail this year. That stretch is a long way from PF. Somebody might have to tote many gallons of gasoline as I don't think there are many stations between PF and the start of the Dragon's Tail, much less the end and back! If I make the cruise, it will be in the F350. The F100 isn't in much better shape than it was last year.

I agree, we need to stay local. It's too far to try to make the Dragon's Tail...plus I don't think I'd enjoy that little road in my old truck.

Still rooms available as of 10:30 this morning. I made my reservations and will be there Thursday around 4:00 in the afternoon. This will be my first time at this show.

The Dragon may not be a "doable" thing?? depending on the feedback from other truckers. Above all is the safety of all of you guys. We dont want anyone hurt or any trucks hurt. We do want to have a great time. It might be a good idea to have a cruise to the dome twice? Once Thursday and Once on Friday? Or Sat? For the guys/gals who arrive later? Let us know what yall think.

Have you ever seen Tail of the Dragon pics?

Tail of the Dragon at Deals Gap and Cherohala Skyway, Graham Co, NC

That is not something I want to get Little Black tangled up in.

I'll bet there is more truck traffic on that road since I40 is closed at the TN/NC line and no trucks can go through the Great Smoky Mountain National Park roads!

I bet that was fun! I went up a couple years ago and rode it during the week of Thanksgiving. Only saw 6 sport bikes and one lost semi!
He had to get the THP to escort him thru at about 5 miles an hour! I followed him up for a couple miles just to watch the fun. I wont be able to make the fun run but plan on making it to the super nationals so I can pick up my new bed from Hot Rods Trucks.
