Install sway bar on '81 F150, 2WD?

TheKirbyMan - Sorry I missed this question at the time. I don't know for sure, but I suspect so. There are also different diameter bars available.
If you still need to know, I can take some measurements etc, & get back to you.......I have my F250, & an F150 parts truck here to compare.

Ya'll dug deep to find this...lol
I haven't installed swaybars as of yet, in fact I forgot I even made this topic. I've got all new bushings up front as well as four new shocks though, and the truck handles vastly different than it did before. It still needs balljoints and steering linkage though.
So let me get this straight, I have to remove my coil springs to install the bracket plate for the sway bars?

Yes.
The spring, & it's cast seat, both sit on top of the bracket that the swaybar link attaches to.
It's not a big job though; once the axle is hanging down, the spring is under no load & just slips out, after the clip is removed from the top, & the retainer from the bottom.
There is a 3/4" bolt that passes up through the radius arm & axle, the spring seat, & the spring retainer.
Mine came apart no problem, but we don't have salt on our roads either......that could be the only problem part of the job.

Im dragging home a parts truck tomorrow and will take pictures and compare all the parts between my non-sway bar F150, and this sway bar F150 im dragging home. Im gunna swap the bars onto the non-sway bar truck.

Running late.........I've just checked the F150 parts truck I have here, & the chassis rails are pre-drilled to take the swaybar & parts - both front & rear.
But on the front of this truck, is a light crossmember/deflector which would need to be removed (4x bolts), to install the swaybar.
After the hard-riding experience with my F250, while the bars were on, I would try to find a set of the light ones.

Anyway, hope things go well and the car dolly stays attached to the truck.

Ray,
Please post some pictures of the bracket that fits under the spring on the front sway bar. I don't yet have the front sway bar or the brackets, but will be getting them in the very near future. My truck has the DJM DreamBeams, so it would be good to see if there will be any interference or if I will need to fab up a special bracket to make it work.

DreamBeams are replacement axles that move the spindle up 3 inches, thus lowering the front of the truck. By moving the entire spindle, it doesn't screw up camber of the wheels or ride quality, like cutting or torching the springs does.
