parts truck?

drove home a different way from work today and saw and old ford sitting in a fenced off area back in some woods. so i did quick Uturn to check it out. turns out its been sitting there for years(from what the neighbor guy told me) and allowed me to jump the fence to take peak at it. what i thought id use as a parts truck, might turn out to be my new project truck. from a distance i didnt know if it was long box or short box. but found out its a long bed. its a 77 250 custom. hardly ANY rust to speak of, just on that one fender, can kind of tell in the picture. floors great, cab corners, bed, interior. the 2 downsides....its 2wd! and id have to pull it home since the motor is MIA tell me what ya think

and the beds loaded down with a bunch of chit, bumpers a little akward on it, but if iwas to redo this truck, all of it would come off anyways for the paint and mods. was thinking ive got a 78 250 and the whole body/bed is gone. thinking about transfering body/bed. the 78s a 4x4 what would you guys do??

Looks like a good start....are you sure it isn't a 78 or 79 (the hood/grill looks like 78/9 stuff). I believe the body should bolt right onto the 78 4x4 chassis either way though.

well i thought it was a 78 with the grill, honey comb grill, but with round head lights. the door tag said 77....so maybe a 77 1/2?

I suppose it could be a late 77....I didn't realize there were 1977 models offered with the later body parts, but I don't see why it wouldn't be possible. I thought the square gas cap doors were 78/9 only too. Cool

Any plans for the camper shell? PM me if you get it and want to get rid of it... I've been looking for one.
