ENGINE NOISE IN VIDEO
I've recently installed three monitors a dvd and a playstation with a selector switch which is injected into my stock preimiun system via an FM modulator.
I am now getting a low engine noise which is amplified when an audio signal is not recieved from the components(such as a quiet monent in a movie. I,ve checked my grounds, they are good.
Does anyone have a sugestion?
I,ve seen a device called a soundgate but have not yet been able to find out what it does.
I,ll appreciate any help I can get, its driving me nuts.

How many grounds do you have? You should ALWAYS keep the number of grounds to a minimum. Have you tried a noise filter? But I would try to minimize my number of grounds first. not much info but I hope it helps.

Hey naffa, I might of found out how to fix your problem. I've got the same type of problem with my CB. Seems that Ford trucks have a problem with the fuel pump. They sell a in noise filter for the fuel pump (# FIPZ-18B925-A) I found this out thru a thread on the electrical BB. Everyone seems to agree that by adding this noise filter to the fuel pump you'll cut down the noise levels by about 90%.. Well, I've got one on order from my local ford dealer...

hey BIG MICK i've tried to order the noise filter you suggested but had problems with the item #. the dealer says # is incorect. go figure.would any noise filter work(you think) or could you possible repost the # for varification, the # i have is FlPZ-18B925-A is the 2nd character a one or an L we had problems with that at the dealers
