Newer OEM Factory Navigation in the EX!!!

Can anyone tell me if the newest factory navigation will work with the excursion as far as steering wheel controls and the size of dash area? I am wanting to upgrade to a factory navigation unit because the aftermarket are all touch screen and I like to have ***** and buttons especially for volume/tuner. Anyone ever done this or have any info.

It can happen, but two things to consider.
1) You would need a massive amount of knowledge to achieve this, due to the fact the factory Ford Nav units integrate into the PCM/ECM on board computer.
2) You could achieve it as well with the right knowledge and know how, but it wold take the likes of an engineer to accomplish such a feat.

So, to that end, you might as well buy an aftermarket unit. And as for utilizing you factory steering wheel controls, PAC interface sells steering wheel control modules that let you retain your factory controls.

And trust me other than the fact that they say FORD and if you want to maintain OEM appearnce of the Factory Nav Unit, is that it is so weak in all aspects as compared to a good quality aftermarker unit.
