Yeah thats normal. Once the temps are up they shouldn't come on. IIRC!

A little better explanation.

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) uses the Engine Oil Temperature (EOT) sensor and Barometric Pressure (BARO) sensor to determine how long the glow plugs will be on. When the engine oil temperature or the barometric pressure is low, the PCM activates the glow plug relay and the glow plugs. If the PCM voltage is too high the PCM deactivates the glow plug relay and the glow plugs immediately energize for a shorter duration, decreasing the modulation of the duty cycle.

Im not talking about the light, I am talking about hearing the relay click after the engine warms up. My light comes on everytime but for a very short time when it is warm.

I guess I should have asked weather your volt gage was taking a dive for 2 minutes or so every time you start it.........If it does your relays engaged.........Mine does.

The duty cycle is constant on KOEO.

If the truck is warm or cold, the GPR will cycle the GP's for at least 120 seconds up to 180 seconds.

I think those 2 times are the only variables between programing though the years on our trucks. Mine seems to last 120 seconds. While I've read a few reports of 180 seconds.

The relay you are hearing click probably has to do with the engine being cold moreso than the GPR turning on.
I think it has to do with the oil temp sensor mentioned above.
Sensors can easily switch relays when power is applied.
So, the relay probably just tells the computer if the oil is warm or not.
But the GPR turns on every time KOEO.
