I have a 2016 crew cab xl F250, and I noticed the cab was quite loud. I proceeded to do the door seal mod i saw a video for where they put rubber tubing in the door seal. It works better. However, my father in law just got a 2020 f250 crew cab XL and I noticed his door sealed real nice and the cab is super quite. After investigation I saw that not only was there a rubber seal around the frame of the door opening, there was also a seal in the edge of the door itself. I was looking to try to add some rubber seal around my doors. Has anyone done this, and is there a certain part of the door I should mount it on? (IE: near outer edge, more towards the middle, etc...). I am also wondering what kind of seal would be best for this, or is it better to order direct from ford?

 

I too have a 2016 and agree, the cabin noise is too loud. I sometimes think there is a door open.
