Not to add fuel to the fire, but standard has been imitating metric for years. . .ever heard of a mil ? That's right milli-inches. . . .otherwise known as thousandths.

Plus every real science measures in metric, as they were developed in places other than the US.. . .physics, astronomy, chemistry, astrodynamics, etc.

It's funny how the rest of world is on the metric system and the USA does not want to change. Although they teach the metric system in our school system. Plus look at it this way I rather be informed in using both, then not knowing it at all

 

Found the source of the front seat squeak. It's where the right side(while your sitting in the seat) hinge attaches to the lower part of the seat. The metal rubs on the vinyl. Just pushing the seat cushion in this area made it stop, but I think some armor all type protectant on the vinyl will cure it for good.
