47 years old.
'76 Ford Granada when I started college. Wrecked it.
'64 Ford Fairlane. 289 with a C4 auto. Nice old car that was a lot faster than it looked. Wrecked it too. (Had a bad spell of poor driving when I was young and stupider than I am now.)
Drove Dad's '70 F-250 for a while. It had a souped up 352 big block. Fast but would also go damn near anywhere in 4WD. Drank gas like a drunken sailor.
Had '74 Chevy Impala with a small block 400, a Fiat that was boxy but was faster than hell and a 60 something Toyota wagon for a while. Those don't count but they were all I could get. The 'yoto was reliable and got me around for a long time.
Got myself an '89 Ford Taurus when I finally got a decent paying job. Not a fancy car but was reliable transportation for a long time. Ran it near 200k until fixing it got more expensive than it was worth.
Traded the Taurus for a '93 T-Bird. 3.0L V6. Emerald green in perfect condition, not a scratch or dent on it. Went like a bat outta hell. Some a-hole rear ended me less than a year after I got it. Totaled it. Good thing the police and medics got there before I killed him with my bare hands.
Insurance money got me a '94 Merc Cougar. It was a shadow of the T-Bird, had a bigger V-8 but had transmission problems.
Traded the Cougar for a '99 Ford Ranger. Really nice little truck with a very nice 4 banger. Couldn't haul much or go fast but it was in great condition. Lost it to the bank when I had to quit working.
I drove a few of Dad's cars while I was waiting on disability. All Toyota's. He gave me their '91 Camry All-Track when they upgraded to a newer car. Not a fast car but would go through damn near anything and was pretty reliable. None of those count either.
When I finally got on disability, I got the truck I have now. A '04 F-250 with a 6.0L. So far it's been a very reliable ride. Will haul or tow damn near anything. A bit hard on fuel as a daily driver, but it's what I have and I like it.
So that's 7 Fords, 2 trucks. 8 Fords and 3 trucks if you count Dad's '70 that wasn't really mine but I drove it most of the time he owned it. I think I had it so much that he rarely ever got to drive it.
Edit: Forgot. When I was in high school, Dad had a 60 something Scout 80 4x4. I drove it more than he did also. I believe it had some Ford components, but that probably doesn't count. That thing would climb a brick ****house. I drove it everywhere around SE Oregon. Places smarter guys wouldn't ride a horse. I learned a lot about wrenching on that thing. Tore it apart and put it back together a lot.
