I used a pair of F-600 front fenders and it looks much better than the F-100 fenders.

When I put the challenger front end under my 56 pickup ( wow, did I say that?)
I moved it forward 2" from where Ford had the center of the axle, so it would "look better centered in the fender

Your highboy frame ended up just the same way, making the fender look perfect. Never thought of using big truck fenders, that's a great idea!

Any plans to open the rears up to match the fronts?

I spent hours with a tape measure making sure I got it right, and I think I did OK!

I've got some paying jobs to do the next three days so can't work on it till this weekend, but we'll take the front cab mounts and running board brackets off and install them on the new frame. Next will be installing the 460 and C-6. Looks like I'm going to have to make some mods to the firewall also.

Still thinking about that. Not sure I want to mess with the body lines...

65!.. That was a minute ago.. LOL

When I finally get done with all the projects that are ahead of the truck I'll need to build one. Maybe two.. There's a local scrap place that sells some pretty good materials for making stuff like that. Once you have one..

I can't wait to drive it into town and see the looks on peoples faces!

Had a couple come by the shop yesterday and the look on their faces was priceless!
