What do you think of these wheels?

I'm looking for a set of 17's to fit the tires I got a good deal on. What do you guys think of these:

or these:

They're not too expensive, I think I got a good enough deal on the tires to justify new wheels. They're $130 at summit. Black Rock Wheel 900S785545 - Black Rock Series 900 Viper Wheels - Overview - SummitRacing.com

Oh, they'll be on a 79 150 4x4 with 35x12.5x17 TSL Thornbirds.

The truck is black now, well except the parts where the brushed and rolled paint job is peeling, revealing the white. Someday, probably a long ways away, I'll paint it. Probably orange, black, black and orange, or charcoal if I'm making it really nice.

If the truck itself is black (if i understood you correctly) then running the black rims would "black" the truck out too much imo (unless that's what you're going for) personally speaking i'd go with the brushed aluminum rims to offset the black paint job on the truck.

I'd go with blacked out ones, as its different and even with all black paint on the truck it will still look sharp, and with a mostly orange truck with black decal accents or paint (original style Explorer side stripe in black maybe?) it would look even more sharp with the blacked out rims, also did you go for OWL (Outline White Lettered) or solid white lettered tires? i know that look is very classic and looks sharp, i went with OWL tires on mine, and the brand is DOMINATOR and there a All terrain A/S tire, and i had the tire guys put the white letters out, unlike most people who hide the white outlined letters on the inside, they sure set off my vintage Turbine rims, and mine are blacked out with polished edges (have to repaint them and re-polish the edges) and i think the blacked out look is sharp,

here's my tire package,

Guess I should re-word this. Between the two, which would you pick?

275/60-17 on mine. between your two choices i would probly go silver to keep it from looking like somebodys hummer.

It depends on what color you're going to paint it. Black rims/ black truck tends to be a bit much. If you're going to put in some orange, I'd go with the black ones, if you're gonna stay black, go with the silver. You can always paint them later too. I'm going with black truck, charcoal rims.

Might look kinda silly on an older truck.. much better on a newer body style, old school wheels look better.

I like the black ones but then again I'm running black on black with white letters out and it looks good
