It's almolst time for new tires. I'm going larger, the question is how large. I know 35's will fit fine on my 08 diesel. But I am not sure about 37's. My measuring of the distance between my stock tires and the fender wells at turn (when the edge of the tire is closest to the fender/bumper) gives me 3 7/8". Round that down to 3" to be safe. So by my measuring I should be able to get a 6" larger tire. Based on the stock 265's (about 31") I can get a 37" tire to fit without rubbing and without modifications.
I'm wondering if anyone knows for sure if 37's will fit. Also if anyone has any pics of either 35's or 37's on their stock F250 or F350 Diesel I would love to see them.

I did a front leveling kit and was able to fit 37" TOYO MT's. They work great!! I pull a fifth wheel with it in the summer and plow with it in the winter.

Nice looking truck. Thanks for the pics. I plow with mine as well up here in Boulder. I used to plow with a Bronco running 37's and loved it. By the looks of your front and the space between fender and tire, you could fit 37's without the leveling kit. What do you think? What about MPG? Mine is terrible as it is. It gets about 11-13 around town and 15-17 highway. When I plow I get about 6. I guess thats to be expected. What were you getting for MPG before the tires and what are you getting now? I would not do the 37's without a leveling kit. It rubs under the tightest of turns only on the control arms. I had an off road truck company KC Truck do the leveling kit for me installed and front end alignment for about $200.00. MPG is about 9-12 city, 12-17 HWY. Plowing it is 8 - 9. I get complements all the time with the tires and amazement from tons of people with the 37" size.

 

CO, What is the width of your 37" tires? 37 x 13.5 x R20s? And did you have to put taller tires on your 5th wheeler to level it out?

 

They are 37x13.5R20's. My Fifth Wheel had 15" Rims originally and I updated them to 16's but that was before this truck. I do not remember the size tires on it as it is covered up for the winter. It can only go so large because their is only soo much room the leveling of it is not too far off.

 

I'm not to concerned with a bit of rub on the control arms. I would get a 12.5" wide tire not a 13.5" like you have. So I would have 1/2" of extra space. Also since the leveling kit obviously raises the wheel well and doesn't expand it, it seems the leveling kit wouldn't help the tire size thing much. I think 37's would look better than 35's.

 

Are those the factory KR rims? I have the leveling kit as well and the stock 34" tires look tiny so I am thinking 37's all the way but wasnt sure if the 13.5 would look right on the stock 20"rim.

Thanks. Those tires and rims came off of my personal truck and are just run during spring and summer. During the winter the stock 18's go back on with studded Cooper S/T's.
