I agree with john, it is much cheaper to find another rearend. I decided I wanted better gears to go with my 4 speed so I found a 9 inch on craigslist for $100 with 3.25s. I had 3.50s so I thought it would be a good upgrade ford town driving. I swapped third members, painted it, and have a guy that is looking at it for $150. Point is they are easy to mess with and CHEAP!

not sure what those Autozone shocks are going for Richard ???

but here is what i found for the Rancho shocks, they don't seem to be that much, $47.95 but then what i think is not a bad price may seem to be a lot to someone else, i would replace the rear ones, than replace the front ones later, all i can say is cheaping out on a part will only cause you to replace it sooner, thus the cheap part generally costs more in the end,

With these slim line bearings these bearings would technically be smaller than the ones they put in there previous to 1970? The reason I still ask is maybe I'm not understanding this correctly, but the two kits that I listed in my first post, I'm still scratching my head on what will fit properly the 2'' bearing or the 3'' bearing. Thanks again for the help.
The Slim Line Bearings are correct for your trucks application.

ALL the 9's used in passenger cars from 1969 thru 1979, ALL the 9's (except the '70/72 WFE axle) used in F100/150's, Bronco's and E100/150's from midyear 1970 thru 1986 use these bearings, which I listed the sizes of (and the "Bearing Industry Numbers" that every autoparts store on the planet goes by).
