fuel filter housing(bowl?) disintigrated
well, yesterday i was making a short trip to the city, and all is good till i get half way there but i slowed down to go through a town and the belt started squealing (i though it might be the power steering pump as it was -37 celsius with wind chill of -45.)i figured well truck is just cold (didnt have winter front on) So got to the city and went into a store (truck was running since i left to i got home) when i arrived in the city it was squealing (seemed to only do it when i slowed down) so i go out of the store and here it squealing idleing, so i poped the hood and fluid all over the place, taste it and its antifreeze, look at antifreeze tank and see it went about half down so i went and bought some antifreeze (dont worry when done with this im changing the antifreeze)filled the tank back up and ran some more errands (im thinking that the water pump may be going now) so before i leave i pull into a car wash to check out under the hood (dark now and you really cant do much outside when its this cold) now theres diesel to, not to much but allover the batterys (fan got some diesel) checked oil and its good doesn't appear to have antifreeze, i assumed the diesel was from the leaking fuel drain valve (thats been leaking for a while, and i figure the orings cant warm up because its so cold out). so i head for home, the belt was squalling of and on, whenever the alternator cut in. got home and pulled into the garage and diesel is all over the floor in about 2 mins a puddle about 7 feet by 7 feet of diesel was there, pop hood diesel everywhere, hood liner, batteries, just all over the motor, antifreeze is down about 3 inches from where i filled it to. truck was a pig on fuel (half tank in 180kms,
so today i pulled off the complete fuel bowl, if you look where yours is, there is a V right below the fuel bowl.mine is full of diesel (ran in there to fan i think) bottom of truck is covered with diesel. i notice most of the orings are shot on the lines going to the fuel housing when i took it off. housing is filthy, so i clean with ether and notice that some of it is "flaking off" look inside it goes through, so there i found the leak. the leak is very close to where the hpop front is(where the 2 bolts go through it) and where the fuel heater starts (fuel heater does not work as there has been a filter oring (from, the old filter) laying on top of there and it hasnt burnt through...
So where can i buy a whole housing? and how much, googled it but found 1 for around $400
And the antifreeze, i cant find where it leaked, anyone have any ideas? i hope my motor isn't shot. when i tasted it when i popped the hood the first time it was antifreeze...
truck has 180,000 MILES
truck was running good
sorry for the long thread...

Did you try DSG? They've got a store in Saskatoon, I believe. If you've got a company you can get a commercial account with them and parts are lots cheaper. Diesel Engine - Diesel Performance - Banks Power - Bullydog - 40502 Triple Dog - Dieselservices.com
