If you have your tools handy and its your first time and thats all your going to do is replace the pedestal and turbo o-rings give yourself 2.5-3.5 hours if you can get the exhaust clamps off OK. My first time it took me a hour to get the down pipe V-clamp off.
The next time I could take the turbo off in 20 minutes.

I guess the severity here depends on how big your head is.
Pedestal o-rings is something you can easily do in your garage. The hardest part is leaning so far over the hood and then pulling the turbo out after it's disconnected. A second set of hands would be helpful. So would some type of padding so you can lay across the motor.
While pedestal o-rings sound like the most likely issue, you really need to verify the source of the leak before you go and yank everything apart. If it's those particular o-rings, there should be some sign of oil in the rear part of the valley. There are 2 o-rings between the pedestal and the block, and 2 between the pedestal and the turbo.
If necessary, poke around with a white rag on the end of a stick until you find your oil slick. I'd hate for you to pull the turbo and the leak be somewhere else.
