FS/FT: 1980 Ford F100 Custom Flareside, Built 300/C6/9" LSD

Year: 1980
Make: Ford
Model: F-100
Price: $5500
Mileage: 152000
Color: Red
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): NJ
Transmission: Automatic
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
Color: Red
Engine: 300 I6

1980 Ford F-100 Custom, 4x2, 300-I6, C6 automatic, and 9" LSD rear with 2.47 gears. 152K miles on the title, 52K on the cluster, ~12K on the engine. Full gauge cluster with tachometer, power steering, manual brakes, no A/C. Engine has been replaced, and stripped of emissions and packaged neatly in marked boxes (all original equipment).

Was restored 15 years ago, kept inside for 10, and not driven much. Underside is clean. Has Rancho RSX shocks, aftermarket sway bars, and 10 hole Alcoa rims with newer Pirelli Scorpion ATR P235/75TR15 extra load tires on them. Tires have around 1800 miles of on road use. Front end was rebuilt (poly bushings), drives straight, disc and drum set up stops straight. Needs a rag joint done on the steering shaft to be 100%. Handles awesomely. The doors need to be replaced at some point do to seam rust underneath and some dents. I have access to perfect replacements cheap. Needs seat re-covered and new bed wood (bed is in great shape though). Speedometer reads 5 MPH under because of the larger tires, and needs a different speedometer gear. Inspected with regular street plates until 2010, but qualifies for QQ's.

New stuff:

- Heater Core
- Battery
- Autolite Plugs
- Parking Lamp
- Plastic Glovebox retrofit
- Gas tank / straps
- Sending unit
- Fuel Pump
- Distributor
- Cap
- Rotor
- Coil
- Ignition Control Module
- Solenoid
- Voltage Regulator
- Hoses
- Power Steering Pump
- Power Steering Lines

Some of the modifications performed include:

- Newer engine w/ 12K on it, 300 I6 bored .030, hyper pistons, 9:1 comp, Comp 268H cam
- Offenhauser C-Series single-plane
- Holley 470 Truck Avenger 4V carb
- Carb spacers, 2" of spacer
- Lokar stainless braided throttle and kick down linkage
- Hedman Header
- Custom Gibson Exhaust - Y-Pipe/Magnaflow Stainless Hi-Flow Cat/Gibson stainless 24" muffler/Magnaflow 3" tip, 15 degree rolled tip tucked neatly up under the fender... Sounds amazing.
- V8 Torque converter (1600-1800 stall)
- Stainless hardware
- Taylor 8.2 Thundervolt wire set (matches the paint)
- Flex-A-Lite red/chrome fan

Comes with:

- Spare set of good bedside with steps and Flareside fenders
- Original steel wheels and hubcaps
- Spare grille
- Spare gauge cluster w/o tachometer

Video of truck running: YouTube - Ford 300 I6 Built & Modded w/custom Gibson exhaust

Have $5200 worth of documented receipts (will send at request); I have more invested that is undocumented as well. Reliable as a daily driver; would be an excellent truck to finish up over the winter for spring shows.

Looking for $5500.

May trade for:

- 1980-86 Ford Bronco 4x4 - Automatic, V8 prefered but wont turn down a nice running 300, carburetted, minimal rust
- 1980-86 Ford F-Series 4x4 - Automatic, Supercab prefered, carburetted

Looking to get some cash, not looking for straight trades (unless it's a really nice Bronco). Open to any questions you may have; feel free to email. Truck is located in Northern NJ.

Thanks for looking!
