I don't know if it's cause it's not tuned right or what, but even when I'm empty on my granny low I have to hold the pedal hard on the floor to go 60 mph on a small hill... I know I have the torque I need to pull a heavy load, so I don't really care about speed. Also, the advantage to leaf springs is you can always add a leaf, where with a coil you have to either put airbags in the coil, heavy shocks in the coil or just replace the darn thing. Look at the pickups with a plow package on them. They even have leaf springs on the FRONT of the truck!

 

That guy needs to get some air bags!!

dunno, saw this at Yellowstone last summer and just happened to have my camera handy....couldn't stop laughing at it.

 

Reminds me of my many comments on Edmunds inside line long term test Dodge Ram. Of course being a bunch of SoCal sports car/hybrid/crossover drivers a pick up truck from any manufacture confuses the daylights out of them.

 

Truck comparisons are like butt-holes everyone has one. That being said buy the truck you truly like and run with it all trucks today are a lot more reliable than the older ones, of course you can have problems with any one brand it happens. Of course I like Fords but I wouldn't totally rule out the new Dodge. If you're not a heavy user of pickup trucks, go with the one that you like most(exterior, interior) as far as fuel mileage I think if driven the same todays trucks are all close. Like I said earlier I have an opinion also...

 

well.... i would own a ford just alone for the fact that its NOT obama motors! honestly... is anything the government runs worth a crap? can anyone think of 1 thing they run thats not a joke

 

I agree with rodolon, at the end of the day they all have there sucky parts about them. but i love ford and always will.

 

Well this should make you guys laugh.. it wasnt a dodge but a chebbie.

We got about 14 inches of snow today its still going outside, well my bro droped his keys in the snow last night. so we needed to go break in his car(ford explorer)His spares were in the center console go figure, well we gave up and said we were gona give it a try tomorrow. so we were driving in my moms expedition going down our hill to our drive way.. we stoped because we saw 2 trucks on the bottom of the hill one was a chevy backing up, and the other was a ford backing up because it was behind the chevy. so the ford pulls past the chevy and goes up the hill easy.. the chevy went again for another shot at the hill got a quarter way up and stoped and had to go back down.. i laughed my **** off!!! then we got to the bottom of the hill we didnt plow our driveway cause we didnt think we were goin anywere well the guy in the chevy is watching us and our driveway was covered in snow and just as if it was a normal day we drove up in our driveway the hole way down(800 feet) at this point the dude in the chevy probaly was thinking about getting a ford!
