Hi guys...My Mazda 5 spd. is grinding going from 1st to 2nd gear unless I wait for the rpms to drop WAY down. I have been trying to "double clutch" which seems to help if I hit it right. But obviously there is a problem. Is it the synchros inside the tranny for sure or is there something externally I could try first?

Also, if I need to pull this trans, is the swap to the "good" 5 spd. do-able or are there many non-interchangeable parts- clutch/flywheel etc.?
