Hey guys- found this on craigslist. Does not say the year, but from the looks of it, it's a 99-03 7.3 with 80,000 on it for 1500 bucks.

7.3 L Turbo Diesel

If anyone is interested, I can go check it out for you. I'd even consider picking it up and holding onto it for you or delivering it to you if you are not too far away, assuming you pay for actual gas.

I've got no job, so the least I can do is help out you guys a little.

If it's got forged rods, I wonder if I could buy just the rods lol.

 

Be wary of a scam. He will may ask for a deposit to hold or ship, and you will never see him. These scams are all over the classifieds right now. I also find it hard to imagine two people putting up $500 and walking away, or that the guy doesn't have the courtesy of keeping contact info. Unless you can physically see this engine, and talk to him in person, or have him put it up on Ebay, steer clear IMO.

 

Seems like a lot of work for some rods, lol.

In two weeks, I'll be in Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Michigan.....

So there's a good chance if you live in one of those states, I could drop it off for you. It would save us both a little bit of cash on travel.
