Gauge lighting/GPR LED troubleshooting
Hey guys decided today that I would tackle the issue with my gauge lighting as well as install a GPR LED. I redid all of the wiring with all new butt connectors and all new wiring. Once I got the wiring redone I flipped the switch. Nothing. A few minutes later I flipped the switch again, lights worked. Lights worked for a while. I ran inside to solder something and when I came back out, no lights. Any suggestions? I didn't have time to redo it all cause it was dark and pretty cold and windy. What do you guys think I should do? All I have left to do for the GPR is hook up the wiring. Hoping for once that everything will work when I go out to hit it again tomorrow. Thanks for the help I'm sure is coming...

on mine i had 3 ground wires. pyro, trans, and lights. i had them crimped to 3 diffrent ring terminals but they were all grounded with the same bolt, turns out i didnt crimp the terminal for the lights ground very good. X3 also on the wire taps, i hate those things. i redid all my wiring and soldered every thing, havent had a problem since.

Update:
Went at it again this morning. Made sure all my butt connectors were still tight. They were. Checked my ground. Wasn't happy with it so I moved it to the bolt where the rest of the dash wiring is grounded. Success! I had all of my wiring run so all that was left was to connect it under the hood for the GPR LED. Got my gauge pod all back in and secured. Hooked my ring terminal up to the GPR and popped the fuse in there. Clicked the ignition on and...it works! Clicked my lights on to make sure the gauge lights work and.......THEY DONT!
I'm giving up on the lights for now. Too many wires to mess with and its way to cold and windy out. At least my GPR LED worked first try and I did finally paint my gauge pod. Turned out to be a near perfect match too.

haha dang you had me for a minute. unclip the wire tap where you hooked up to that blue wire and check it with a test light try touching the part that the gauge wire is clipped to if it lights up that will tell you something is wrong with gauges. i cant remember but im sure they are wired in series so if there is one break in the wire or loose connection they will all go out. so if your getting power, check the back of the gauges where that black and red wires plug in.
