So I posted a bit ago that my boss needed a new vehicle. I with the help of Peter (duck fan) convinced her that the best bet for her was a diesel excursion. Horses + people= needing diesel excursion.

Peter found a 01 2wd limited ex. with 268k on her listed in my town for $8000. They book for 10+ in decent condition. This one is has a straigh body the leather is on good condition. Brand new ford trans. The guy that owned it is really nice and even drove it to meet Peter and I at 8 oclock Last night so Peter could run AE on it. Passed all AE tests great and the motor runs perfectly from the HPOP to the injectors.

So after that I turn to the guy and say "well we definetly want it, so what are you thinking on price" he says "throw a number out there and we will see" so thinking if i started pretty low we would meet in the middle and everyone would be happy. So I got bold and said "we would be stoked if we could get it for $6,500." He says "Sounds good!" Shook on it and bought it this morning.

So basically High book on this thing in cherry condition is over $13,000 it is less then "excellent condition" but way better then "good condition" and we just paid half of blue book on it!

Reps to Dan! Lol. Good find. For that price I would take a trip out west to get one, GF is really wanting one too.

 

The wife wants to sell hers cuz shes tired of the high diesel prices and im still thinking about it but if I do decide to sell it you sure wont get mine for that price.

 

The great thing about this deal is the lady who owns the Ex now is a fantastic gal who deserved a break like this.
