I'm a manual guy too. Pretty dissapointed in Ford for dropping the manual option. Of course it never was much of an option. They were never on the lot so you had to order one. Between the wait and the lack of negotiating power that comes from buying off the lot, a lot of people would just say "eff-it".

Somewhat off the main topic...
I'm a big fan of teaching kids to ride dirt bikes long before they every see the driver's seat.
They can learn shifting, steering, braking, throttle control and most importantly "stupid hurts" early.
Then when they get behind the wheel and head out on the road, they can focus on obeying traffic laws, watching out for other cars, etc.

Cheers,
jb

Are you sure? My 6spd has two lines connected to it. I thought they were cooler lines. What could they be?

I was just looking for this thread to say I was wrong...

While installing fog lights I, too noticed two lines that run from the transmission to the radiator...

Why there is a water cooler on a manual transmission I'll never know, but that means there is also a pump... Which might explain the noise I hear when coasting to a stop... pump cavitation.

So the question was if you need a larger cooler... My logic says no since the 6-speed uses the cooler in the radiator.
