Hello i am new to this forum and am hopeing someone can answer my question...
i have a 1985 F-150 302 EFI.
i need to put tires on this and am wondering what size and make is going to work best for me.
the truck barely sees highway(gravel and off road)
i need a tire that is good in mud and snow and reasonably good on icy town streets.
We have trails for trucks around here and would like to be able to ride them again....
thanks
i thought about them but here is a few issues(budget)(and the truck is mainly used for off roading)
basically a good tire on a budget. and mainly what size i will be able to turn.
the truck has a 3'' body lift
If the ride height is stock you will probably get some rubbing if you run anything bigger than 31x10.5x15.I have 30x9.5x15 on mine and they do pretty well. I just noticed that you have a 3 inch lift so you can probably go with a set of 33's without much problem.
Best bet is to either find some good used swampers for cheap or go with something like some ground hawgs and put studs in them in the winter. Most of your other options will be pretty expensive. They dont like to give mud tires away.
Might try some Green Diamond icelander m/t I have heard good things about them and they make a 31 that should fit.
