Thanks bill, I'll do that first thing in the a.m. I'll let ya know what i come up with. I thought i figured out thats what was causing the fuel to be pumped to the front tank while running on the back one (fom your previous posts) That's why i thought maybe they are both not working. I'll check it out!

Just an update, was busy with clients goose hunting. Finally got the codes read, all we got was code 12, (idle?) Did the test on the in tank pump as best i could for being 2 degrees outside, seems the reading i got only got to about 2 pounds of fuel pressure from the boost pump, heading out to change it right now, I'll let you know. That code 12 would'nt cause this would it?

Well that wasn't it, it might be even worse now. Idles fine but I can't even accellerate at all now and the tachs bouncing all over when you hit the throttle. Guess I'll start looking at ignition components at this point. Open to any ideas if anyone has some.

Could be something in the ignition system or the computer itself, hard to say.
Do you have parts you could sub out from another truck like yours?

I would go to a salvage yard and collect all of the parts and keep them on hand to sub out.
I keep a lot of them on hand for testing.
You would need a TFI module & distributor (for the PIP sensor) combo + ignition coil & computer.

Just an update, been busy again with goose hunters, finally figured out it is the selector valve. Now the the problem is price and availability. The dealer wants $195.00 and a 5 day wait! Does anyone know if there is aftermarket parts and maybe where to get them? Thanks for any info!!

Magic.

It changes tanks by the pressure put on the selector valve by the boost pump in the tank.
No wires.

Selector valve.

Subford is correct, there are no wires connected to this unit. I was outside trying to bypass this thing to run off the front tank only but I'm afraid of splicing into the stock lines because they are so brittle. Heading into town to get fuel line in the a.m. Does anyone know if the stock lines with the quick connects are available or should i just change them out anyway?
