help!! cranks over..no start
i have a 2003 f250 6.0 lariat. i bought it this past june which had 46,000 miles, had no previous problems with it, however yesterday i took it for a short ride and is just shut off out of nowhere in the middle of the road. i noticed the check gauges light came on, had no oil pressure. i started cranking the motor, oil gauge moved halfway after awhile but would not start. i have the edge evolution programmer and pulled a code, but don't remember numbers because i accidentally deleted it, but do remember it saying something about the 6th cylinder, checked oil dipstick , oil is halfway between max and min. checked fuel bowl and there is fuel, checked oil bowl and there is oil. the weather is about 25-30 degrees, not sure what is wrong or how to fix, FIRST TIME DIESEL OWNER!! someone please lead me in right direction...thanks

Eliminate the programmer then head for the ICP. Disconnecting the ICP will allow the engine to use a default strategy, unfortunately for you the ICP is located under the turbo at the backside of the engine.

I think the point was, to remove the programmer so the truck can run it's stock program. Then unplug the ICP sensor as a test. But you already have it at the shop, so never mind. But it likely will turn out to be your ICP sensor.
You are out of warranty on an '03. But if you were under warranty, you would not want to let the dealer see the programmer. Edge programmer products have a bad reputation on the 6.0, but it didn't cause this problem.

Since you have an in line device that modifies the signal sent to the engine, the first item to eliminate is the programmer. A broken wire or bad connection from the Edge module could cause the engine to shut down. The majority of us here use custom tuning that flashes the engine strategy.

update...
while the truck was at the shop, they diagnosed the problem was just a gasket...although seems very easy, this was located under intake, they said they had to take off turbo, alternator, intake, and it was located under another cover under all this. it was some kind of tube that looked like a j almost about 3/4" in diameter. the gasket is in the tube and i guess it is associated with the fuel system somehow...should be done tom.

actually, when i bought the truck in june they gave me a one year 10,000 mile warranty, unfortunately i ran over the mileage because i travel 120 miles roundtrip to work, but they cut me a huge deal and are fixing it for nothing...very good dealer to work with!! after it's fixed and i bring it home, shall i eliminate the programmer completely? is there any others that u recommend? i really like the added horsepower with the tuners...any info about a tuner is great

I wouldn't mind running it one stock just for the gauges but that would kill my warranty non the less
the day my warranty is up it's egr delete ,cooler delete and studs ,, then a programmer
