Body shop installed new drag link truck doesn't turn left

Hit from some lady and brought my truck in for body repairs. Was talking to owner of body shop about front end noise prior to accident, and pointed out worn drag link. He said they can replace the drag link for $375 so I went ahead and gave him the go. When I picked up truck it wouldn't turn but only one rotation to the left, their excuse was a bad steering box and it was out of alignment. It wasn't like that before! I did some reading here at ford-trucks and ordered a new redhead steering box. Last night after work I put it in, but was having the same problem with the truck not turning all the way to the left before the drag link head was hitting a bolt stopping it from going any further. I threaded the drag link all the way in but it was bottoming out with the threaded tie rod inside the the turn buckle. The truck turns more to the left now but not like it did. Still turns more to the Right than the Left. I Think the drag link the shop ordered is too long. Should I cut about 1/2" of threads off the tie rod? this should make the truck turn L&R the same.

Truck is an 05 F250 Diesel 4x4.
Thanks.

I'd take it back to the shop and inform them of the issue and let them get you the correct part.

Good Call Chris I am going to do that. I Just wanted to get my truck fixed today. I'll wait until Monday. I wonder what truck this drag link was for? It is probably 2" too long

Had that happen when the shop didn't center everything before putting it back together. Couldn't turn left but I could make the tires hit the fenders on a right turn.

yea my guess is they didnt have the steering centered before putting it together...

make sure the steering wheel is not turned one revolution before assembly or u can have issues with the clock spring in the column..
