captains chairs!

its time for change! (where have i heard that?) my bench in my std cab pickup is dead, almost 30 years of abuse and its gone... now for new seats! give me some recommendations for some bucket seats or captains chairs

i like the OEM ones that came in the late 90's trucks, my other one has them and their decent, if the arm rests dont wobble!

im not afraid of fabrication, so any seat you think is comfortable will do, ill just have to find it in the junk yard

Got two from my van I'd let go pretty cheap. Tan, armrests, high back. On swivel mounts, but you can mount them on anything flat methinks. Kind of big for a PU maybe.... If you want pics, send a pm with an email.

Of course, then there is the issue of how to get them from here to there... solveable, I'm sure.

i was thinking of a darker color, closer to black the better, my trucks interior is truck bed lining, so ish gotta be blaq swivel mounts would be sick if i had a motor that would make them pop out of the cab haha

Use buckets out of a Bronco of the same vintage as your truck. Only the inner two mounts on each seat should need to be drilled into the floor. With anything else you'll run into big problems mounting them because the floor isn't flat where the seats mount, the front mounts are at a 45 degree angle.

this is what I did on 2 of my trucks. make sure to put a fender washer under the floor for the 4 bolts you drilled, to add strength to the mounting, wouldn't want the seat to be ripped out in an accident, and try to get the center part of the seat belts with the latch, you can use the ones from the bench seat, but the angle is different, makes it easier to fasten, unfasten if you get the one that belongs to the seats. best thing I ever did for the trucks, much more comfortable, and a box to store all your stuff in in the middle, plus it gives you a drink holder
